Miller, you alienated your fans and sponsors the moment you hired that (frank)ing obstructionist Donald Fehr, the biggest protagonist in sports. Even after a deal is struck, these players continue to insult the fans' intelligence.

Well congratulations to the NHL and NHLPA for finally ending their lockout. As a diehard of the game – I will obviously be back but I will state this whole experience has been embarrassing. Both sides have damaged this great game but it is hockey. It would be nice to see the fans that are able to attend each home opener to make a statement – stay for the national anthems but walk out before the puck drops and return to your seats sometime early in the 1st. The true fans will be at these games and WE have been the most hurt by this lockout. The fans pay for this game and we need to make our feelings know. This is hockey and you are note bigger than the game or the Fans who fund this game. I understand both side have issues and strong points but negotiate on your own time not OURS. It seems like our only labor solutions is to stop playing this game. I think a sign a Fan Solidarity is in order. Show those owners and players – the sport should not be held hostage.

I think the League needs to provide the NHL Package free to everyone who is willing to watch it. It would also be nice to see the NHL, owners and players make an investment back to the communities they represent. They have hurt a lot of families and local business. Some of these people survive on the money they make by SERVING the NHL. A little tip of the hat is in order.

Enough about my soapbox – Need to focus on this team and our roster. 48/50 games is not a lot of time to get your game in gear. Sabres can’t afford their usual slow start this year. I think we have a good team. I actually need to get a refresher.

Garth - your poll suggests that he has something to be ashamed of. Maybe add the option: "He was right to state his mind and opinion."

Just wait until he's gone and we turn in the Maple Leafs. We will see how Enroth handles 2 on 1's and breakaway's all game long.

Time for Darcy to earn his money. The roster, as is, won't cut it.

There is a surplus of NHL ready dmen and a shortage down the middle.

A sensible GM would do something about it. Darcy is renowned for sitting on his hands until it is too late.

I'm interested to see how Rinne looks without one of the top 2 defensemen he was used to playing behind. Or how Suter's absence is going to affect Weber.

I say look at Philly. I doubt they have all of their Dmen healthy already. I'm pretty sure at least 2 of them were expected to miss the whole season.

Everything he has said during this lockout has been educated and well thought out. He's being the bigger man and apologizing, something that the Buffalo fans get on him for not doing during the season when he has a bad game. Besides, nobody asked your opinion. He's the Sabres goaltender. Not yours. Go troll somewhere else.
